The Origins
Dylan Hopkins, a proud member of the Western Band of Cherokee Indians, was raised in the mountains of Western North Carolina, where his earliest experiences were shaped by time spent outdoors—
walking forest paths, wading through creeks, and sleeping beneath open skies.
These formative moments fostered not only a deep respect for the natural world, but an intuitive understanding of its
rhythms, moods, and quiet intelligence.
Years later, after relocating to Southern Vermont, Dylan felt a strong pull to reconnect with the land in a meaningful way. As he began exploring the forests near his home, he found himself drawn not to the daylight hours, but to the night. What began as simple evening walks evolved into something far more profound.
In the darkness, familiar landscapes became unfamiliar.
The senses sharpened. The mind, no longer overstimulated by visual input, began to settle.
A natural alertness—rooted in the body’s response to the unknown—emerged, bringing with it a surprising sense of clarity, presence, and calm.
Where other approaches had fallen short, these nocturnal experiences
